Reflections on World TB Day 2019

Three UKAPTB member organisations joined forces on 22nd March 2019 to host a World TB Day symposium featuring talks from a wide range of tuberculosis researchers.
The symposium attracted a packed house of over 300 attendees who came to hear over 20 speakers present and discuss their work. Now in its tenth year, the symposium, co-organised by UCL, LSHTM and this year’s hosts, the Francis Crick Institute, gives the TB community an annual opportunity to catch up on the latest research, and with each other!
2019’s symposium was further enhanced by a two-hour live link-up with the University of California San Francisco, including a lively transatlantic debate. Hundreds more who couldn’t get to London or San Francisco watched the live stream online and the recordings, along with the full programme, are available via the UCL-TB website.
Earlier that week, UKAPTB members took part in a reception held by the All Party Parliamentary Group on Global TB.
